Heather expected things to be a little crazy at her first medieval reenactment. She didn’t expect to need rescuing—or to find a real hero.

PRETEND PRINCESS. REAL HERO.
After nearly getting lost on her way to her first medieval reenactment, Heather’s evening only gets crazier from there. Sparks fly between her and the handsome and chivalrous Roland, who’s not just a pretend knight in shining armor but an undercover army ranger on a dangerous mission. When he rescues Heather from a real—if fuzzy—monster attack, the pair is forced to spend the night in his safe house. And while Heather may no longer be in danger, her heart most definitely is.
*I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review*
Ok I am not sure where to start…. I loved the first half of the book where we meet Heather who is on her way to meet her friend Steph and take part in her first ever reneneince re enactment. She is all dressed up in a period costume and lost following the vague directions that Steph had given her.
The description of the clothes and the atmosphere were great but then it took a turn. For the worst? maybe…. Heather leaves to get somering from her car and almost gets kidnapped. that part was ok until it took a paranormal spin that I didn’t see coming. I lost the book from there as it just didn’t fit with the rest of the story in the slightest and it was laughable! if it had just continued without thar spin I would have enjoyed the rest of the book more.
3 stars.
