REVIEW
At first I wasn’t sure about Sandy, I just didn’t take well to her in the opening chapter, and I am at a loss as to the reason why. I realise that isn’t very informative, but I have to say as the book went on she grew on me – but it took a while.
Strangely Quinn, who was a obnoxious, swearing ass grew on me instantly. I think the author was better at writing the chapters as Quinn than as Sandy.
Sandy and Quinn are opposites – she is small at 5″ odds and he is 6″, he is an ass (and believe me he is portrayed extraordinary well as being a total jerk. But I still can’t help but connect with him more) and Sandy doesn’t take any off his shit and stands up to him when they first meet.
It a love story that grows like wildfire, and when ex’s came into the mix on both sides, and an estranged mother it’s quite a trying time for their relationship, I was finding myself rooting for them (Sandy & Quinn)
Overall, despite my initial dislike of Sandy, I really enjoyed the story. I loved the chemistry between Sandy and Quinn, how well Quinn takes to Joey and in general the whole plot line.
A few things that bugged were some grammatical errors like “I lied in bed” and ” role my tongue” and some of the sentences read more like a diary, along the lines of – I went shopping, then made dinner, then went to bed kinda thing – that was just at the start though and it was better.
Still a 4 stars for me though so it all good 🙂
