Each one of us is a master of infinite possibilities at a universal scale. Through meditation we experience our own magnificence, our true potential.
Drawing on his experience of thousands of hours of earnest and strenuous meditation, renowned sage Om Swami pens a guide to help channelize unruly, futile thoughts and turn them into productive energy.
A Million Thoughts shows how to meditate correctly, how to practice various styles of meditation and how to become proficient in the many yogic practices that will lead to the final stage of samadhi — the ultimate spiritual self-fulfilment.
Brimming with firsthand experiences and references from ancient and classical texts, this brilliant book is most suited for the modern reader who wishes to master the art of meditation.
This was a really insightful book, since I have started Yoga I have wanted to delve into practising mediation but I feel so overwhelmed about it all.
Om Swami has created a book that covers many types of meditation – which I didn’t realise there was more than one! and also describes the various stages that you go through during a meditation session. It really was an insightful read to open myself up to the reasons behind mediation and the benefits of it, and also what to expect.
A Million Thoughts is written in an easy to follow and understand way, and I loved how Om Swami shares his personal journey throughout the book. After reading this I don’t feel so overwhelmed by it and can see it as being something that I could practice and move through the stages in time.
**I was provided with an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review for the purpose of this tour. *
