Christmas Wishes At The Chocolate Shop
by Jessica Redland

Sometimes you just need a little Christmas magic to make your wishes come true…

When master chocolatier, Charlee, takes the leap to move to the picturesque seaside town of Whitsborough Bay, she is determined to follow in her grandfather’s footsteps and set up a chocolate  shop. Luckily, she finds the perfect location for Charlee’s Chocolates on beautiful Castle Street… Now she just has to refurbish it in time for Christmas!

With a useless boyfriend and countless DIY disasters, Charlee doesn’t know if she’ll make it in time. With no ‘traditional’ family to support her, she feels lost in her new surroundings and the secrets of the past are weighing her down.

But the warmth and festive spirit of the Whitsborough Bay community will surprise her, and when plumber, Matt, comes to the rescue, it might be that all of Charlee’s dreams could come true this Christmas, and she could learn what family really means…

Escape to Castle Street for the perfect uplifting, festive read from top 10 bestseller Jessica Redland. Christmas Wishes at the Chocolate Shop was originally released as Charlee and the Chocolate Shop. Now re-released with a new title and new cover, this version has been freshly edited and features several new chapters.

REVIEW

After reading Christmas at Carly’s Cupcake and Starry Skies Over The Chocolate Pot Cafe I couldn’t wait to read Christmas Wishes at the Chocolate Shop which is a re-release under the new name and I was overjoyed to be going back to the beginning of Charlee’s story as to how she came to find herself in Whitsborough Bay.

Charlee is a master chocolatier, relocates to Whistsborough Bay along with her boyfriend Ricky, after the death of her grandmother. I took to Charlee but instantly hated Ricky – you could just tell he was not the guy for her and also say money in form of Charlee’s inheritance. Despite what we saw Charlee moves with him and buys and opens her shop on the beautiful Castle Street – honeslty I wish this street existed in real life (maybe there is somewhere in the world) it just sounds like a magical place especially at Christmas time! She is determined to get the shop renovated and opened in time for Christmas but Ricky is AWOL and never around to help her, and when the shop has a bit of a plumbing disaster she meets the handsome Matt – who we just know is the one for Charlee, but he has a fiancé!

As the distance between Charlee and Ricky grows and some truths are revleared, she really has her hands full moving here! But rest assured her best friend Jodie makes the move as well and takes up residence in the flat above the shop, so when things hit the fan for Charlee she at least has Jodie around to lift her up. With Ricky out of the picture and things looking rocky for Matt and his relationship – could a happy ever after be on Charlee’s cards after all? You will have to read the book to find out how things transpire.

The story is one of those feel good hallmark type, featuring characters that you will love and hate – in Ricky’s case, a wonderful magical setting and just a feel good romance.

Thank you so much for joining in the blog tour for Christmas Wishes at the Chocolate Shop, Fee, and for your lovely review of Charlee’s story. Really glad you instantly warmed to her and loved the setting. It’s inspired by a combination of a few real places but I also very much wish it was real! x
