Faith through Falling Snow is part of the Elements of Love series and I believe this is book three, having not read the previous books this was easily read as a stand alone, though it would be good to go back and read them to get the full picture of how Lacie came to be where she is now.

Now I have to get this part off my chest and say that I didn’t realise this was of religious nature (though I should have clicked with Faith being in the title) I don’t normally read books in this genre, as I have no belief in God or region, but this was a wonderful read and just the right amount of religious talk etc. Though toward the end when Lacie has her baby I had to skip over a few paragraphs, this is not a reflection on the author or the story, just more my personal feelings regarding what was written.

Despite my lack of religious faith, I thought this was a wonderfully written book, and it was very emotional and heart wrenching at the same time with everything the family has to go through with Lacie’s mother in law developing Alzheimer, and also the problem when the baby is born. Yes it would be enough to test anyone’s faith, and my heart went out to Lacie, being a mother myself I felt every moment of fear, joy and relief she was feeling right along side her.

Knowing now that this is part of a series and with religious aspects, I would still love to go back and read the previous book as the characters really drew me in and I wold love to know of their story.
