REVIEW

Max and Peregrine are back, and though this is book three you do not have to have read the previous books as this is very much a stand alone story. After fleeing from the fair off Krig Max’s mum is now being hunted by Fanghorn in this story and when he send the Varkas pack to capture to her and Max to bring them back, things don’t quite go as planned. Featuring yet more adventures for them Max and Peregrine we are treated to werewolves and even an appearance from Frankenstein, I loved this tale. This is a very appealing story to kids who will find the toilet humour hilarious.

** I read this in ebook format from Netgallery and for the first time ever found the formatting to be abysmal and I actually really struggled to read the book, there was text missing and large black thick lines throughout the page that almost made it impossible to read. The illustrations which was a great addition to the story was all broken and fractured that it was at times impossible to know what they were.** this does effect my over all review but it did play a big part in the enjoyment of reading this story.

When Robin grew up he thought he wanted to be a cavalry officer until everyone else realised that putting him in charge of a tank was a very bad idea. He then became an assistant gravedigger in London. After that he had a career frantically starting businesses (everything from dog-sitting to cigars, tuition to translation)… until finally settling down to write improbable stories to keep his children from killing each other on long car journeys.
