There’s only so much pain and loss one person can handle before they shut off emotionally.
Detective Jase Stevenson experienced more pain than any one person should have to bear at a young age. After walking in on his parent’s brutal murder, he vowed to get revenge on the culprit. What he didn’t plan on was her.
Tiffany Warner had her own set of problems growing up. All she wanted out of life was to be loved and to love someone in return. She never expected to fall for him, a man who seemed incapable of giving her the one thing she wanted… a tomorrow.
How long can one person wait before walking away? Are some people just broken beyond repair? Can Tiff convince Jase to let her in?
Promise Me Tomorrow is book 3 in The Witness Series.
Heather D’Agostino is a new to me author and although this is the third book in her Witness series, I have not read any of the others and whilst I wanted to know the past history more in depth between Jase and Dev this was easily read as stand alone.
Detective Jase Stevenson is one helluva character, he has had a tortured past and now has no one. His his story is full of heartbreak, guilt and pure raw emotion that it will suck you right from the get go.
Then we have Tiffany Warner, a woman who is vowing to wait for him not matter how long it takes. She wants to fix and help him but he feel he cant give up any of himself to her.
There are plenty of emotion in this book and at times I got frustrated at Jase with how he was so blind to see that he could have a tomorrow with Tiff.
A brilliant story and I cant wait to read books 1 & 2 as well as more from Heather.
