TW Domestic Violence

Sally finally escapes the clutches of her controlling and abusive husband and finds refuge with her estranged sister Alison, and returns to her family home. There are some dark secrets from Sally’s past that are hovering on the fringes of her memory but she just can’t quite grasp at them, Alison help fills in some of the blanks but I think she is bending the truth a little to fuel her own agenda as to what happened in the past. Her father and her Uncle Peter are far from welcoming Sally into the home, and with her husband being menacing from afar, poo Sally doesn’t know what to do!

This was an easy read, dark and twisted but it was very repetitive. I got fed up with Peter constantly asking Sally to leave all the time without giving her a valid reason, it got to the point were I was fed up and I just wanted his reasoning to come out, and when it did I was almost underwhelming as it had gone on for so long!

Author Bio –

Born and raised in South East London, Lorraine lived and worked in South Africa, on the Island of Gozo and in France before settling on the Costa del Sol in Spain. She lives with her partner in a traditional Spanish village inland from the coast and enjoys sampling the regional dishes and ever-changing tapas in the local bars. Her knowledge of Spanish is expanding. To stop her waistline from doing the same, she runs five times a week.
