Love is blind…
Especially when you’ve been abducted.
Caught in the dredges of life, Elise had come to the grudging conclusion that mediocrity was all she’d ever have.
Until a routine shopping trip turns into a deadly affair.
Taken. Two men, one a brute and the other an enigma. A cabin in the woods. One dangerous agenda.
Blindfolded and held captive, Elise’s mundane existence just got a whole lot more interesting. Thrust into the unknown, held prisoner by a man with rough hands and a gentle voice, she’s faced with her own demise while struggling against a growing desire for the unacceptable—her captor.
Will Elise make out with her life—and heart—intact?
Elise lives a very boring and dull life, she has no friends who she can call upon, not family that really care so when she is the wrong place at the wrong time and get snatched into a van and kidnapped suddenly her life isnt so dull any more.
It is rather sad that she finds this thrilling when really any normal person would be scared witless about being blindfolded and kidnapped! Though I guess one way you can look at it is a taboo fantasy world that Valentine has created with this short novella.
Who in their right mind would want a relationship with your kidnapper, but when she thinks all hope is gone why not have a final fling before it all goes to hell.
This was actually a good read with a bit of steam thrown in for good measure. The unexpected ending made it all worth while 😉
